Our venture will be sustainable in every respect – the whole commercial proposition and the little car itself should be easy to produce, use, refurbish, remanufacture, recycle and replace. Eventually, it will be made obsolete by another better design. We must be the company that does this – not one of our competitors. Profitability must go hand in hand with the 100% circularity of the business. This is the foundation of our design and development endeavour.
We should strive for exceptional simplicity, low resource use and high public engagement. We must encourage as wide a pool of investors as possible; “You don’t own the car – you own the company”. The cars are never sold, as we have an enduring responsibility for all environmental impacts. Recovery and reuse of resources can only be managed properly if we keep control. This also informs the design and development choices we make.
Our little car must defer to people when it is in use and also when it is not in use. Cities are for people. Streets are for people. We owe it to the world.
